Gift Basket. Attributed to Northern Pomo. Collected Sherwood Valley. Coiled bowl shaped basket with three-rod willow foundation with sedge weft and redbud design; twine start design is three rows of two coils of alternating horizontal bands; rim has two sections of redbud lashing over last coil near end; core end abruptly stops with sedge stitching securing it to adjacent row. Good Condition (Sturdy). 8.5 cm high, 12.5 cm diameter at rim, 14 cm diameter |
