Pomo Small twined basket start. Made by Elsie Allen in 1970-71 for Pomo Exhibit when MCM opened. The weave is plain twined, "made with white or gray willow sedge roots or white roots." (Elsie Allen, 1971) Materials: warp - willow, weft - split roots -sedge. (L. Dawson 1/17/81) Dimensions: 2 cm woven start. 69 cm unfinished willow shoots |
