Description |
"Bicentennial" quilt made in fort Bragg and donated to MCM in commemoration of 200th anniversary of U.S.A. Quilt has 40 blocks (each approx. 23 cm. square) pieced onto field of small floral print of black, white and red, which is also used on the back of the quilt. Blocks are either red, white or blue, with embroidery which pictures scenes or themes of the United States or MendoCounty, and which have names of the makers stitched in. Quilted by the Senior Citizens of Ft. Bragg. Presented to Julia Moungovan, for the MCM, by Mrs. Kirkman on Labor Day, 1976. Dimensions: 144 cm. W x 225 cm. L |
